Over the pond

The flight from Newark to Frankfurt went by really fast. The kids were happy to watch movies and snack. I told Lily to go to sleep because we were going to land in a few hours and she listened!

We landed around 5:30 am, local time and headed for the train. The luggage carts are allowed on the escalators, but they warn you to not pile luggage too high. Of course, our TWO carts and crazy full. Matt goes down the first escalator and a suitcase goes tumbling down onto the people below him. I couldn't help but laugh....and take the elevator.
We found our train, bought first class tickets (not expensive) and forgot to reserve seats. So, while Matt stood near the doors with our pile of bags, the kids and I stood in the food car.

We're here!

Arianne picked us up as promised and we took a cab to our apartment. We spent a few hours unpacking and soaking in the view.
