Girl's Day

When we got back to Chicago, Lily had a fever and needed a day off. The following day, I dragged her to Hyde Park with Nana. We met Auntie Jami at she & Brian's condo. We went into the city for a day of shopping, laughing and revolving doors.
Lily thought the "downtown doors" were the best thing she'd ever seen. At one point, we went into a Starbucks for a jolt and Nana got "stuck" in the door. She went around and around and we thought Lily was going to wet her pants laughing. It was so cute! "Nana!! Jump out!!" It was a super productive day too. Jami & Lily found shoes for the wedding & Nana found her dress. She tried on 15 dresses, with her assistant Lily. We picked the perfect dress and kept on moving. We dragged poor Lily up and down the Magnificent Mile with stops for drinks, popcorn & shopping only. What a trooper. We had pizza back at the condo and little miss stayed awake all the way home. That girl can party.

Auntie Jami, Lily & Nana in front of the Watertower, one of the few buildings that survived the Great Chicago Fire (it is made of limestone). This discussion led to days of questioning from Lil: "who is Mrs. O'Leary? why did her cow do that?"
