Downtown with Brian & Jami, Part I

Wow. What a day. I truly believe Brian has been planning this out since the day Lily was born. Mr. Chicago took us on the most epic tour of the city. Thankfully, we had a stroller and Uncle Brian's very capable shoulders. (get it? city of big shoulders? hehe)
Matt dropped us off at Brian & Jami's in Hyde Park and then headed up to MI to help Uncle Johnny Laffer get the cottage ready for Brian's bachelor party. We then got on a big bus with the stretchy middle part. Lily sat in said middle part and looked eerily grown up there on her own. Whenever the bus turned a corner, her eyes would bug out as her section would twist and turn. She called it, "the belly of the bus." We then Met Auntie Jami (with some life saving Starbucks) in the city.

Lily & Uncle Bri & the Wrigley building

One of the many times we crossed over the river. The kids got to see the spot where the leprechaun jumps in and turns the river green. We crossed over it on foot, on a bus, on multiple trains & in a car. Each time was equally exciting, but we have yet to see one of the draw bridges go up to let a tall ship through. (wait, I didn't mean that to be an ungrateful, "these seats are scratchy" statement? sorry Bri!)

We got to see the big Marilyn statue (and giggle at her undies)
