Woohoo! We're going on an adventure!
My husband, Matt is a professor of engineering and will be a study abroad chaperone for the Fall of 2011. We are taking our kids and heading to Europe for a semester of travel.
I must say, this has always been a dream of mine, but is a bit (a lot) out of my comfort zone. The only reason that this is happening is because someone else is doing much of the work for us. The university in Bonn has a wonderful woman who is helping us every step of the way. She has set us up with a furnished apartment, airline tickets, travel from the airport, etc.
We sprechen sie nothing.
Lily will be 6 when we leave and Ben will be 4, so I'd love to record as much of this trip for them as possible.
Hoping to be honest and as true to the reality of it as I can be. Maybe our trip will inspire others to travel, or frighten them enough to stay put!
